Sierra Oncology reported the result of preclinical study for SRA141(AS-141), a CDC7 inhibitor being developed by Sierra under license from Carna Biosciences, at EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics.

Dr. Kohichiro Yoshino, President and CEO at Carna said, “We are excited that SRA141 showed the safer and superior anti-tumor profile than competitor's compounds, which suggests beneficial effects of SAR141 in clinical trials."

Dr. Masaaki Sawa, CSO of Carna Biosciences, presented our work on the discovery of AS-871, currently being developed to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis, at the 16th Annual Discovery on Target held in Boston on September 25-28. Dr. Sawa presented Carna’s unique approach to develop a highly selective BTK inhibitor, and received many questions and favorable comments from the participants.
