Compound(s) Requirements

Required Volume and Other Information

Compounds may be delivered as either a solid (preferred) or as a liquid.

a. Solids – please provide the molecular formula and indicate the quantity (in milligrams) on the primary container. ACD will not weigh compounds
b. Liquids – please provide compound(s) at a concentration 1,000-fold greater than the desired testing concentration (i.e. 10 mM if the highest desired concentration is 10 μM in the actual assay). All compounds should be solvated in DMSO with the concentration clearly printed on the primary container. Other solvents may be acceptable, but prior arrangement(s) must first be made with ACD.
Shipments lacking the requested information may cause a delay in study initiation.

Scheduling of Compound Shipments

In order to provide the best possible service and results, we require advance notification of the ship date and tracking number associated with your compounds. This information allows us to schedule the proper preparation of cell lines to be used to perform your study:

1. Please ship your compound(s) out to the following address to be delivered during US work week.

Advanced Cellular Dynamics, Inc.
720 Broadway
Seattle, WA 98122
Tel: +1 (206) 726-1205

Please provide us with the name of your chosen carrier and the shipment tracking number as soon as available by emailing us at info@carnabio.com.

2. All necessary paperwork such as Purchase Order, completed Service Application, and other requested documents must be provided to us no later than preceding your compound shipment. The paperwork should be emailed to us at info@carnabio.com.

For shipment, choose courier or other suitable shipping service, with demonstrated experience at the customs. To decrease customs duties or delays on overseas shipments, please indicate on the package that the materials are "for laboratory purposes only, not for human consumption, and of no commercial value."
Carna Biosciences will notify the sample arrival via phone, fax, or E-mail.

Compound Storage

Compounds will be maintained at a storage temperature specified by the client prior to study initiation (recommended and default is -80C).

Return of Compound(s)

Following completion of the study, arrayed compounds in high-density plates (384- or 1536-well) will be sealed with adhesive foil and stored at room temperature for two (2) weeks after the report is issued. Discarded compounds are destroyed by incineration. Longer term storage duration and temperature(s) are possible but must be coordinated with ACD staff in advance of the study.
